These unique shrubs provide a wide range of flowering times, foliage colors, and growth habits, making them useful as an accent planting, hedge, or border planting. Flower times vary between varieties, but flowers are common from spring to early summer. The flowers are usually white, pink, or red, and the small blooms can appear as flat head blooms, round domes, or upright spikes depending on your chosen variety.<\/p>\n<p>Spirea is also a low-maintenance planting that is perfect for the less-is-more gardener.
