When I was a little girl, Tyson’s Corner was a farm, so you can only imagine the growth I’ve seen throughout the Washington metropolitan area. I grew up on the western edge of Falls Church and family outings entailed piling into the station wagon and heading ‘out to the country’ to all the best nurseries where my mom would fill every space remaining in the car with plants for our yard. Wintertime would find her buried in garden catalogs, designing our modest backyard, awaiting the first robin to signal spring, and the chance to get her hands back into the soil.
I must admit, her enthusiasm and creativity rubbed off on me, and I now have had the honor of designing outdoor spaces for Meadows Farms clients for nearly three decades.

As we walk through your property, I’ll ask questions that will help me clearly visualize the picture you want to paint. Throughout the process we will make choices together and create a design that is just right for you. Each season Meadows Farms provides new and innovative hardscape products for designers to work with. Our buyers are in constant contact with the countries largest growers to bring us the highest quality and best varieties of plants throughout the year.
In addition to creating beautiful front foundation landscapes and city streetscapes, my repertoire includes driveways, patios, decks, stonewalls and ponds, as well as woodland gardens, native habitats, and children’s gardens. I am in my element designing private quiet spaces, peaceful enduring gardens, of water and stone.
Although, I have served clients in 23 counties over the years, I now live ‘out in the country’, which no longer means ‘out past Tyson’s Corner’ but, in the Shenandoah Valley. Hence, I work only in the following areas:
In Virginia: Western Loudoun, Clarke, Frederick and Warren County.
In Maryland: Western Frederick and Washington County.
In West Virginia: Jefferson and Berkeley County.
