Happenings

We Are Rolling Right In To Summer!

Time for some “sun, sun, summertime…!” Weekly shipments of our summertime annual line will bring us fresh 6” assorted annuals, as well as new hanging baskets. We have a new vegetable vendor this year; Bonnies. They will continue to bring us some staple herbs and summer veggies, even as those dog days of summer hit. An instant start veggie is a great way to dip one’s toe into growing your own produce.

Houseplants are hot, and not just because of the weather. There are many different varieties to choose from, even for the starter green thumb. Houseplants provide a sense of calm in your décor, as well as help to improve the inside air quality of a space. This summer we have an updated look in our houseplant section! New tables and a bright new roof have all contributed to a more open feel for our “Houseplant Haven”. We also have just received a summer restock of ferns, palms, cactuses, succulents, and more.  Even if you don’t have room for an indoor friend, drop on in to our greenhouse just to check it out.

Summer also comes with its own host of challenges to the garden. If temperatures decide to soar, we may find that there was not enough rain to help get us thru. Watering will again become a priority. Our selection of watering supplies will help to sustain your plants through till fall. Gator bags, water wands, and soaker hoses are all great items to help maintain your new plantings. Mulch and Straw are two items that may be overlooked as summertime helpers. They keep the soil cool, retain moisture, and help keep pesky weeds at bay.

As always, please be sure to sign up as a V.I.P (Very Important Planter) to receive all our sale prices and deals.  We look forward to seeing you here at Great Falls Meadow’s Farms this summer!
